Water is an indispensable necessity of our everyday human life. But for the people in the remote village of Vardhavilaan water has long been a luxury. Although there is a community well built by the government, its water is polluted due to lack of maintenance and thus unfit for consumption. Disposal of construction remains at the few water sources available in the village has made their quest for water an even harder task also increasing the possibility of the outbreak of waterborne diseases. Therefore, people of Vardhavilaan are travelling long distances to fetch water for their needs daily, ironically passing the well.

Pathmanathan Sharanraj, a young mobile storyteller trained under the "Mobile Storytelling" program launched by SDJF in collaboration with iVoice and Neelan Thiruchelvam Trust (NTT) wants the authorities to look into this matter and do the justice to the community.
