Ilangaiththuraimukaththuvaaran is a very remote village in Muthur, Trincomalee. More than 5000 people living here and in the neighboring villages such as Uppooral and Seenanveeli are suffering daily due to the absence of proper medical facilities. There is only one divisional hospital to serve all these villages but unfortunately it is located 20km away. Given the limited facilities offered by this hospital the villagers often have to as far as Trincomalee situated even farther away from this remote village. Poor transport facilities and the economic difficulties of the villagers in this region make the situation worse and there are many reported cases of patients dying on the way to obtain medical care.

Kirupanantharasa Ketheeskaraan, a young mobile storyteller trained under the "Mobile Storytelling" program launched by SDJF in collaboration with iVoice and Neelan Thiruchelvam Trust (NTT) wants the authorities as well as the public to look into this matter and do the justice to the community.
