Roads that never saw development

The end of the 30-year civil war saw the use of rapid road construction as a catalyst to post-war transformation in Sri Lanka. Although most of the main roads in the Northern Province have been reconstructed some roads in rural villages like Melinchimunai are yet to be constructed. Located 3Km away from Kayts main road, this road should definitely be upgraded due to constant difficulties faced by the villagers, especially during the rainy season.

Sivalingaam Vimalalraj, a young mobile storyteller trained under the "Mobile Storytelling" program launched by SDJF in collaboration with iVoice and Neelan Thiruchelvam Trust (NTT) wants the authorities to look into this matter and do the justice to the community.
