Anura Suranga is a courageous young man battling with Down's syndrome in Kamburupitiya. He is among the 8.5% of Sri Lankan population having special needs. With a disabled father and an elderly mother Anura is fighting for life without giving into fate. Youth like Anura are being trained by the Vocational Training Authority and other skill development institutes of the government but are often left unattended after the training without a proper mechanism to make use of their skills. However, the failure to welcome these skilled youth into the work force of the country has caused them being a burden for both their families and the country. Youth like Anura are capable and willing to make use of their knowledge and to live independently with dignity. Should the inability of policy makers hinder their progress in life?

Prabath Nawarathna, a young mobile storyteller trained under the "Mobile Storytelling" program launched by SDJF in collaboration with iVoice and Neelan Thiruchelvam Trust (NTT) wants the authorities to look into this matter and do the justice to the community.
